The Detroit Orff Schulwerk Association is a professional organization for music educators that promotes the teachings of Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman. DOSA is a local chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association that was founded in 1969. In our 50 years of service, Detroit Orff has provided a professional learning community for music educators to collaborate, network, sing, dance, and play. DOSA offers five workshops every school year, bringing in some of the best clinicians in the country.

Learn great strategies at the bars to help your littles learn to play the Orff instruments properly. Learn great tips that will lead to success for your students year after year. Come and see how the rhythm of poetry not only teaches about notes and rests, but many other elements of music as well. This hands-on presentation will give you tons of ideas to take back to your classroom.

Manju Durairaj: Sing, Say, Dance, Play in a Culturally Responsive Way
This workshop focuses on cultural relevancy, aspects of culturally responsive teaching, multiculturalism, and social justice in education in the general music classroom. Students will collaborate and create together using protocols for culturally responsive classrooms.
